A 55-year-old man with a crop of cannabis in a concealed roof space of his garage was self-medicating for chronic asthma, a court heard.
Twelve plants, potentially worth thousands of pounds, were found growing at Kevin Warren's home in Bendigo Lane, Colwick, when police executed a search warrant.
Just under half-a-kilo of dried cannabis, worth in the region of £6,500, was also found in the garage inside sealed plastic tubs inside the inner rings of car tyres.
