A courier told a court that his hunting knife was a tool of his trade. Rickeem Banton said that the eight-inch blade was used to cut open bundles and remove plastic bands from around papers.The knife was provided by the 20-year-old's mother but he was found guilty of having a bladed article while outside the Queen's Medical Centre.That left him having to do 200 hours of unpaid work and pay the £620 costs of the trial at Nottingham Magistrates' Court.
