A trucker was praised yesterday for trying to prevent a crash which killed a 21-year-old car driver.
An inquest into the death of Alex Saxby heard he was at the wheel of a car which went on to the wrong side of the A614 at Perlethorpe early on July 8.
Lorry driver Kyle Banner swerved sharply and managed to more than halve his speed from 41mph as the vehicles collided.
But Mr Saxby, of Forest Town, suffered "unsurvivable injuries" and died at the scene.
